The Return of Me is an experimental, interactive 6 week online (LIVE) course run by me, Liz Constable.
"I can’t recommend ‘Return of Me’ with Liz Constable enough.
The online group led by Liz came to me at just the right time, I had totally lost my creative mojo and found it just the tonic I needed.
Liz was very motivating, and it was good to be given challenges to get me thinking and creating.
I thoroughly enjoyed my weekly chat with all the ladies so much so that I’m thinking of enrolling again to get 2021 off to a flying start."
Let me take you on an inwardly creative adventure in which you set the goal which therefore determines the outcome.
Deciding what you want to achieve during the 6 weeks, makes the course relevant to you.
We work together as a group to help move each other along. I can provide some prompts and exercises to help you work through any blocks that might be holding you back creatively.
Whatever your challenge is, let's work together as a supportive and encouraging community of like minded souls to delve in deeply for answers. But don't think for one moment it needs to be a serious process. Let creativity be our guide to help us climb our respective mountains and let's have some fun along the way.
I draw on a range of skills, tools and my intuition to guide the group along. Those of you who have worked with me in classes know that I encourage people to make mistakes as there's always much to be learned from them. I have no doubt I'll be making a few of my own along the way, but let's go into this with an open mind and an open heart.
If at the end of the 6 weeks, we feel uplifted, have forged new friendships and have slain some dragons within our thinking then wouldn't that be wonderful!
If you'd like to know a little of my journey.....read on.
I recall feeling some kind of pull just before I turned 30 in which I actively began seeking “something” that I couldn’t name.
It transpired,I went looking for something that wasn’t lost. I just didn’t know it at the time.
I embarked on an inward adventure, the kind they talk about in story books with dragons and princesses all hidden from themselves and each other (thanks Richard Bach for that insight, and see the full quote below).
Since my searching began, I’ve dived deeply into myself to discover what stops me from creating joyfully, from playing without guilt or resentment. During the course of this searching, I've discovered a lot about limiting beliefs and how to move beyond them.
The more I deal with doubt and negativity within my own thinking, the more joy I've experienced, not only in my life in general, but in particular, my art practice. I won't pretend it's been easy, and I won't pretend it's a once size fits all path, and I certainly can't guarantee enlightenment in 6 lessons!!!
The title THE RETURN OF ME was given to me quite randomly one day (i.e I heard it as if someone had spoken it aloud), with the instructions to take it to those who need it. Of course, it didn’t come with a curriculum, it seemed I had to do the work in that respect!
I love working with people and watching them blossom, so I'm very excited about this next chapter in my creative life.
“We think, sometimes, there's not a dragon left. Not one brave knight, not a single princess gliding through secret forests, enchanting deer and butterflies with her smile. What a pleasure to be wrong. Princesses, knights, enchantments and dragons, mystery and adventure ...not only are they here-and-now, they're all that ever lived on earth! Our century, they've changed clothes, of course. Dragons wear government-costumes, today, and failure-suits and disaster-outfits. Society's demons screech, whirl down on us should we lift our eyes from the ground, dare we turn right at corners we've been told to turn left. So crafty have appearances become that princesses and knights can be hidden from each other, can be hidden from themselves.”
