Arts Trail in the Wairarpa

I just recently did a quick road trip up the middle of the North Island in New Zealand from Auckland to The Wairarapa for the Grey Town Art Town arts trail.

Masterton Art Club is a fantastic local art centre. I found out that a LOOOOONG time ago (in the 1800's) there was a collective set up to serve the community with education and art. So there is a lot of funding available in Masterton thanks to the foresight of the ancestors of this town.

They have a fabulous range of classes! I really recommend arts trails if you come across one. They are highly inspirational and a fabulous way to see a different part of the country and meet artists.
