Essence of Play Issue 2 will be in my shop on MAY 1st (NZ time).

We have the wonderful Richard Stine in the house, who has graciously allowed us to use one of his best selling images for our cover. He is, after all, the essence of play!

But wait, there's more! OOOOOH it's been so hard to keep this quiet, Jo and I performed a massive studio makeover when she was here for my birthday. I can show you a 'before' photo, but we're keeping the results for the magazine. 

The interview that brought me to tears was the one Jason has done with Jo about how her life as a Punk impacted on her creative path. WAIT until you see the photographs of Jo rocking a mohican!

Oh My Liz...FANTASTIC, BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN - GREAT PHOTOS...YOU & JO ROCK...JASON too. And, of course, Richard Stine is great! His dad, Clayton (Katy) was SO COOL!!! No wonder Richard grew up with the imagination he has and the happy attitude. Loved his story. 

Reading Jason's "TOTEMS" made me think of "Pareidolia"!! For years, I've seen faces in almost everything - clouds, trees, knot holes, ceilings, walls, etc. 

Your 'Studio Makeover" is BEAUTIFUL and the video is excellent. I love your little black cat at the end. By looking at all your shelves, tables, nail boxes, baker trays, etc. - it has the word "CREATIVE" written all over it. Makes me want to go out to my garage and start going crazy - which I will soon.

I'm still reading - but wanted you to know it makes me SMILE, LAUGH, and HAPPY to read everything you write - and especially the love of creating - that is so you. Keep rocking out!
