The handmade book measures: 130 X 195mm
There are approximately  40 pages inside if you write on both sides. 
 
The cover is deliberately simple as it's designed to accompany the novel - to be a handbook for you to use as you read the books and it's an invitation to take notes.
 
Both books will be wrapped in hand dyed paper.

Some of the paper inside the handmade journal has been dyed using my technique: Dyed & Gone to Heaven. The dye isn't set  (so don't cry on it, spill your wine or take it swimming). The papers are a mixture wet strength cartridge paper with a few other types of paper to play with, including paper from old ledgers that came from a disused warehouse in New Zealand. 
 
I create the books, pack and send them to you. So they come to you with love and all their little handmade foibles (i.e some of the papers get a little torn during the dyeing process. But I LOVE this, and still pop them into the journals). 
 
WHAT IS THE DEPARTMENT OF ANGELS ABOUT?
The story begins at the end, or the story ends at the beginning…you decide. 

Martha, an artist never imagined her life would change so dramatically after she experiences a freak accident in her studio and finds herself passing through a door into another life. 

As a newly dead, she expects to sit, wait, and be processes. But, to her astonishment, she finds out she’s been recruited by George, the manager of The Department of Angels, where she soon discovers the staff are as flawed and as complicated as their clients with all their unfinished business. 

One of the most mysterious staff members is The Secret Keeper, known to all as SK. His job is to keep secrets until his clients are ready to deal with them. But what happens when the biggest secret of all belongs to The Secret Keeper?
