RE:CREATE - The Cloth Book Project

Updated: Apr 19

In my latest book RE:CREATE - The big book of book projects, tips, techniques and Miss Takes, there are lots of yummy books to create (or recreate!).

The project featured on the cover is the delightful Cloth Book Project.

This project is proving to be a hit! Just recently, I did a LIVE free session for people who own the book and the results were astounding. I just love the way people have taken on this project and let it fly! I'd like to slowly add some of the beautiful books as I receive photographs of them.

Before I get into the show and tell, you can buy a copy of RE:CREATE here. AND AND AND if you buy it before April 30th 2021, I'll throw in the recording of the cloth book class, for FREE!

Cally's Cloth Book

I've said it before and I'll say it again, personalising these cloth books is what makes them stand out. It doesn't matter how little or how much experience you have, experimenting as Cally has done makes all the difference to the finished piece.

Adding quotes, tags and mixed media papers is a great addition.

You can put as much or as little as you like in your cloth books!

It's up to you if you decorate both sides. Or not!

I love the crooked arrow!!

Dress pattern paper is always a winner in my opinion!

And it's a wrap.......

Don't be afraid to show us your version! Each one is unique and beautiful. The worst thing you can do in art (and indeed in life) is compare to others!

Email me photos!!!

Kaye's Cloth Book

OH.

LA.

LA.

I'm absolutely loving watching the cloth books evolve.

Here are some photos of Kaye's cloth book, who is based in Australia.

Enjoy!

You can see more of the book on Kaye's youtube channel.

Jill's Cloth Book

Here is Jill's book and with it two important reminders:

1. Your theme can be as unique and personal to you as you want it to be.

2. You can add as many details as you want to! Make this project your own.

Jill has an Instagram account in which she's filmed her book. You can go here to see it.

Buy a copy of Re:create before April 30th 2021 and get the recording of the cloth book class for FREE!
