IN THE BEGINNING...

This rather amazing adventure began with the passing of my Aunty Pat. Her last words were, "Oh, I see a door!" 

​

I was intrigued to know where the door led - so I began writing with no idea of the extraordinary adventure I was about to embark on. 

​

​CHARACTERS

Martha was the first of the characters to appear (who went through the door) and slowly, one by one more characters appeared in the oddest and most random of ways.

A BIT OF A BACKSTORY

Initially, I thought I was creating a series of short stories and indeed, believed this to be true for years! And then one day, I suddenly realised it was a novel and I had to 'paste' and weave the stories together. 

​

Not that I've ever written a novel before, but I'd say it was a rather unorthodox way to approach writing a book. 

​

However, right from the start, this book and these characters have known what they want and the timeline they're operating on. And it was my job to keep turning up, keep figuring it out and trust that I'd be supported to bring it out into the world. 

​

I tried on MANY occasions to walk away but the story kept whispering away to me, the characters literally kept nudging me and sending me messages that were SO obvious I couldn't ignore them. So basically, I had little choice but to keep going.

LAUNCH DETAILS

I will be selling my books on Bookbaby (for US readers) and via my website for anyone else who would like a signed copy (US readers are also welcome to buy via my website too!! but the shipping is pretty steep). 

I'm looking at launching early March. I can't do pre-orders via Bookbaby but I can via my website so that will be up and running within the next week or so!!!!!
